Edmond Santa Fe High School welcomes Madison Moore, the new head coach of the Lady Wolves basketball program, who was approved at the EPS Board meeting Monday, April 7th.
Basketball has been a cornerstone of her life. She grew up with her dad and grandpa as college coaches, themselves, and she was immersed in the game at an early age. Moore started playing AAU basketball in the 4th grade and, by high school, began helping out with her sister's AAU team.
After playing 2 years at Redlands Community College, she then transferred to the University of Oklahoma, where she graduated with a degree in Health & Exercise Science and Administrative Leadership.
While she's always been a player of the game, her coaching journey began at Heritage Hall in 2018 where she coached the Chargers for 1 season. Following her 1 year stint at HH, she transitioned to Wheeler Middle school. Over her 4 years there, she coached: volleyball, girls & boys basketball, boys soccer and track... leading teams of 20-27 players each season.
In 2019, Moore received the OKCPS Female Coach of the Year award. Just recently, in 2024, after coaching 2 seasons at Capitol Hill, she was recognized with the Oklahoma Girls Basketball Coaches Association (OGBCA) Southwest Regional Coach of the Year.
As a coach and lifelong student of basketball, you will notice right away that she is passionate about using the game as a platform to inspire growth, discipline, and resilience in young athletes. Her mission goes beyond teaching skills on the court--she strives to shape confident leaders and team players who carry the lessons of the game into every part of their lives. With her deep commitment to both athletic and personal development, she is ready to start that mission--to motivate, empower, and guide every player toward unlocking their full potential, on and off the court.
We're excited to have Madison Moore as a part of our coaching staff at Santa Fe High School. Her "Meet and Greet" session with current and new players will be Thursday, April 10th at 3:00 in the Santa Fe Main Gym.
