The Edmond North Football team was finally able to take the field Friday night in an Edlam battle against crosstown rival Santa Fe. After knocking off a little rust, the Huskies scored 4 touchdowns in the 2nd half but eventually fell a little short, losing 42-35 to the Wolves.
Junior Ethan Barnes made his first varsity start at quarterback for the Huskies and finished the night with 266 passing yards and 4 TD's.
Senior Eythan Graham hauled in two of those TD's on receptions of 58 and 56 yards. Sophomore Jonathan Hatton and senior Xander Steele both had TD catches of their own.
Junior Jarrett Whitefield led the Huskies with 48 yards on the ground.
After the Wolves scored late in the 4th quarter, Junior LeBron Jones returned the Santa Fe kickoff 81 yards to bring North within 7 points. North wasn't able to get the ball back and Santa Fe was able then run out the clock
The Huskies will take on the Deer Creek Antlers next Friday at Deer Creek High School.
