The Wolves golf team traveled to Bailey Ranch GC in Owasso on Monday to participate in the 6A Boys State Golf tournament. The 2-day event was stacked with talented individuals from many 6A teams around the state of Oklahoma.
After 2 rounds the first day, senior CJ Phillips was tied for the lead after 36 holes of play. Going into the final round of 18 holes on Tuesday, Phillips battled to stay in the lead, but fell just short and finished 4 strokes behind the eventual winner from Norman High School.
Maddox Freeman, shot the Round 3 lowest score for the Wolves with a 71, which tied the low round of the day.
The team, who started in 11th place going into Tuesday's round, moved up the rankings and finished in 9th place (out of 12 teams) shooting 316-323-312 (951).
